The principle of the YETI system is to melt snow or ice as it touches the blade surfaces. The blades have a sophisticated device which heats them to a temperature that will continuously melt the snow as it falls on the covering, becoming water that is drained normally through the downpipes. The system can be activated manually by means of an ON/ OFF switch, or automatically if connected to a control unit with a sensor triggered by weather conditions.
